  1. Sparkle 2.3.3B A mac-look-and-feel MPEG and QT player and converter.

  3. This should replace Sparkle 2.3.3 in the info-mac archives.
  4. This is the same as Sparkle 2.3.3 but with the extra MPEG tools which I 
  5. forgot from the Sparkle 2.3.3 archive returned.

  7. Also in this package are a VERY rough quick and dirty port of some unix 
  8. MPEG-2 decoding code. This will allow you to see what's in an MPEG2 file 
  9. and save the result as a QT movie. Of course at some point this support 
  10. will be rolled into Sparkle but I'd like to do sound first.
  11. Be patient with this programs---in particular when it starts up, it 
  12. may sit for a minute or so looking like it's frozen before anything 
  13. starts happening. This program is based on code by Chad Fogg and the 
  14. MPEG Software Simulation Group.

  16. Also in this package is a VERY rough quick and dirty port of a 
  17. unix MPEG demuxer. This will split a muxed MPEG file (one containing 
  18. both audio and video) into separate audio and video files. This program
  19. is based on code by Rainer Menes.

  22. * has very limited AppleScript support. Probably not yet useful, but 
  23.   that'll change soon.

  25. These are all high priorities, pretty much in that order.

  28. WHAT IS IT?
  29. Sparkle plays MPEGs, PICTs and QT movies and converts between them. It is
  30. multifinder friendly and, with enough memory, will open multiple 
  31. documents at once.
  32. It is free.

  34. REQUIRES: 
  35. Sparkle is no longer supported on systems less that 7.5. If you refuse 
  36. to upgrade to 7.5, the enclosed docs will tell you the list of 
  37. extensions you need to get for Sporkle to work, but I do not have 
  38. time to help you track these down.

  41. mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu) in info-mac/grf/util.
